Zena
Founder & Counsellor
Zena created Counsellors’ Staffroom and has a private practice specialising in culturally integrated, neurodivergent affirming therapy. She is passionate about supporting therapists and modelling celebrating and valuing diversity.
Helen
Founder & Counsellor
Helen is a counsellor working in private practice, specialising in menopause, hormonal issues, fertility and pregnancy presentations. She believes in the importance of connection, support and collaboration to create positive change.
Creating the Staffroom
The Counsellors’ Staffroom was created by therapists for therapists out of a care for each other. Beginning on Facebook in March 2020, our community soon became a thriving and valued source of support for counsellors and psychotherapists. Our new dedicated online home allow us to provide so much more for our members. Were looking forward to welcoming you.

What is the Counsellors’ Staffroom?
Counsellors’ Staffroom is a private membership space where counsellors and psychotherapists can connect, develop professionally and find support. We use a platform called Circle to host our community. We offer two memberships, Network and Professional.
Who can join the Counsellors’ Staffroom?
Membership is open to counsellors and psychotherapists who have qualified at Level 4 or above, and students currently studying/completing a Level 4 or above qualification in counselling and/or psychotherapy. Please see our Membership and Events Registration Criteria.
I’m not based in the UK can I still join?
The Counsellors’ Staffroom is a UK membership organisation so most of our discussion content, events and other benefits are suited to members based in the UK. If you live outside the UK and would like to join please email us and we will investigate whether it is possible for you to join our community.
How to I provide evidence of my relevant qualifications?
When you have joined our community on Circle please follow the instructions in our Onboarding area. You will be asked to email a copy of your qualification certificate and membership body details, if you have a membership body, for verification.
What is Circle?
Circle is the leading community platform. It enables us to offer a space for our members to meet each other, find support, learn and develop their practice. It’s a bit like Facebook, but our Circle community is private, and it’s also available for counsellors and psychotherapists who arent on the big social media platforms.
How can I change my Membership type?
To upgrade your membership from Network to Professional click on any space in the Professional area of the community and follow the prompts to arrange your upgraded membership. Or go to the billings section of your profile - you can manage your membership and payments there.
Can I sell my therapy products to the community?
Yes, we offer a therapy shop for Professional Members on Circle. To sell your products you must be a Professional Member. Please email us a link to your products and some information about them so we can add them to our therapy shop space.
Can I offer my CPD/training course to the community?
Yes, our Member CPD space is set up for our Professional Members to market their CPD to other Members. Alternatively, if you would like to partner with us to offer a Counsellors’ Staffroom Event or other Staffroom training please contact us .
How do I cancel my membership?
You can manage your Counsellors’ Staffroom membership directly on Circle in the billings section of your profile. If you decide to cancel you will be able to access our community until the end of your current billing cycle.
